Do I need to renovate?

Living by the rule that you don't fix it if it isn't broken, also keep in mind...

• Cleanliness to most clients is a strong reflection of your character, and more than likely is the first thing they notice. An annual thorough cleaning by a janitorial service, including all flooring and surfaces inside and out, is a must.

• Refreshing walls, floors, windows, bathrooms, etc. by patching and painting may be all you need for visible improvement. See if your leasing company will split these costs with you.

• Taking the facelift to the next level may mean engaging the services of a local carpenter to repair and replace things like drawers, doorknobs, hinges, etc.

• Replacing or re-arranging shelving and displays always is a good idea.
